Your smoke? Sorry to hear that.
Normal turn-on of a switcher should not hurt the Xylotex board. Did the
switcher catastrophically fail? There is usually a crow-bar across the
outputs. Well, the 5V one anyway. What switcher do you have?
Why do you think the Xylotex is blown?
