William,
I thought about that and even bought a high power flex shaft dremel
from Ebay that would fit in a 1" collet. I went to mount it and found
that the quik switch 300 adapter on the mill is not through drilled. It
doesn't use a drawbar. It uses a quarter turn twist lock. I hadn't
given it much thought since then. I wonder if I could drill out the
spindle with a carbide bit chucked on the table. The blockage is only
about an inch thick. The rest of the spindle is open.
