Or, you can do like I do[or used to when I had
to]. Preserve the original drawing scale and scale
the dimensions. Go to [top menu bar] Dimension,
Style. Pick Modify. Go to the primary units tab.
On this tab there is a 'Measurement Scale' [middle
lower left side] . If you have your drawing in
inches and want it in MM, just put in 25.4 this
will give you all your dim's in MM. If you've
drawn it in MM and want it in inches put in
0.039370079 {1 divided by 25.4} You'll get inches.
The cool thing is if you want to switch your
actual dim's back and forth just change it here in
the modify dim section [or creat a new 'STYLE' and
you just switch between styles -don't forget to
click 'set current' ] Select all the dim's you
want to convert to or from inchs/MM and click
'UPDATE DIM' this will change them over to the
new 'STYLE' which you've selected. At least this
was how it was in AutoCad 2000.
Ok.. Back to SolidWorks.. :-)
