Rick,
Glad to see your post. I've been recommending similar for years now.
The body of the cheap nuts is okay; but as you say the balls are not
so good in many cases. These low-grade ballscrews and nuts ARE made
for LOAD, not precision; as you suggested. One of the results of us
using parts from the larger motion control industry for our CNC
niche items.
