20 Amp 80 V $99 DC Servodrive

on 2000-07-04 21:07:01 UTC
Hi,

This is a shameless cheap advertising ploy. I got my servodrive
prototype boards (48) from the PCB fabricators and they work great
after I fixed my numbskull mistakes on them.

I will offer them at a $99 price with the understanding they are beta
site prototypes. I would welcome and need any user comments on how to
improve them before I run a production run of 1,000 next month.
Anyone dissatisfied with them will get at refund or will be upgraded
to the production versions in August.

The drive will be called the G320 and it is a Step and Direction
input PID positional servo drive. The specs are:

24 to 80 VDC power supply
20 Amps max current ( 1-2 Hp class) thermal considirations
+/- 128 count following error
0 to 20 Amp Pulse by pulse current (torque) limiting (trimpot)
Analog PID co-efficient trimpots (Damping and Gain)
250 kHz maximum pulse rate
2.5" square footprint, 0.85" high
3.6 oz weight
Self-powers encoder (+5VDC, 100 mA max)
All sorts of broken-loop protection
Self-restart after fault detrction (2sec)

Where it stands now is the prototypes work very very well; I am am
very pleased with them. There is no can-art or user documentation. It
will take me one week to generate both.

Anyway, if anyone is interested please email me at geckohall@...
and I will set you up to try them with whatever support is needed.
They really are great drives and I am proud of them.
