Servo Heating

I have a large mill with brushed servos and Gecko 320's. My Y servo
runs hotter than the X servo. The Y isn't uncomfortably hot, just much
hotter than X. Reduction is the same on all axis. Is this unusual? I
know that the Y drives much more mass (saddle) than the X but don't
know if this is the reason. Any thoughts? Could it be brushes?
