Hi Blue and All:
To the best of my knowledge ACAD 2002 does not have a way to
draw a continuous helix like a thread. From what I have been told
you can generate a 1/4 turn line and then a crossection of the
thread. Next you extrude the crossection along the one quarter turn.
Now move a quart turn and do it again. Slow process! I hope this
helps and is clearer then mud. I will double check with my brother
who had to lay one out for a mold.

Hi,
I'm using ACAD 2002 and drawing in solids and then hacking bits off to get
the shapes I want. I have two questions:
1) Why can no-one see my drawings when I send them as Dxf's, is there a
setting I can change to make this happen.
2) How do I draw a square thread, I can't find a thread drawing lisp that
allows this. I want to show a 3/32" square thread of 1" pitch on a diameter
of 1.25" bar.
Regards,
Terry
