I think there is a DRO offering as a complete home-brew project. I
think it is on a lathe.
But, using a dedicated laptop is interesting.
Makes me want to pull apart one of my old junk DOS laptops. gosh, I
have an old Toshiba T1000 that runs one one floppy and about 256k
