You know thats exactly what I was thinking.

I'm really glad we have a few people who have made it all happen.

The longer they talk about it the more chance of missing the boat
IMO. I'm already taking the Mach Cruise, and unlikely to jump ship now!

EMC may be good, but they have "talked" a good job over there far too
long, whilst Mach (and I accept it owes something to EMC) has
progressed so far it's unreal, any new boys on the scene have some
serious catching up to do.

As for parallel ports, well it works, as Mariss says it's a $0 method.
Now I dont mind spending money if I'm going to get something out of it,
thats the reason I will migrate over to G100, probably within weeks.

Those that say the G100 is expensive, well I dont agree, but then I've
been victim of paying "big boys" motion control ripoff prices, as I've
said before. The $400 it costs seem like nothing in comparison to other
systems available. Not saying that because I have money to burn,
because the truth is I dont. The reality is I dont have the time to
wait for vapourware, I always knew the G2000/G100 project would come to
something, and I was on Mariss's yahoo list from the start.

I do understand there are those here who don't expect the performance I
do. I have to earn a living from my CNC's many others dont. I cant or
actually WONT subscribe to the new CNC scene though. I actually enjoy
bringing my old wrecks back to life.

It's also a mistake to think that doing it on the cheap will get you
fantastic performance, we all really know it wont. Scrounging printer
steppers as I saw in here this week was once example! (might drive a
printer not a machine tool) Inferior unipolar drives wont match good
bipolar drives and never will.

Confusing the issue by bringing forth into the equation doesnt help. DUP .

Oh dear I dare not go on! Work to do......
