No, from that end, it wasn't the amp. The reason it kept running away was
the Y encoder - two pairs (B and I) were wired backwards from the schematic
of the original machine. Now I can consistently get similar results from X
and Y when I switch DAC0 and DAC1 back and forth. DAC0 works, DAC1 doesn't.
I don't need a scope - I just put the voltmeter on the DAC's - DAC0 ramps up
and fluctuates (compensation) DAC1 goes up to the max 9.8 (or min) and stays
there. I can manually set DAC's with the diagnostics program - it would be
nice to have a model 1. Any donors?
