Hi Bob,
You have to be careful as the wires that connect to the pot are basically at
mains potential. A "Digital pot" is unlikely to be isolated, and mat result in
mains potential entering your PC via the printer port.
Not a pretty sight. Then again.... it is a bit of a firework show.
Seriously, the DigiSpeed was designed to do exactly what you are after. It
produces an Isolated DC control voltage that replaces the manual speed
potentiometer on such motor speed controllers. It will work with Mach3 or
TurboCNC.
