I have that manual, and it really shows nothing about physical positions.

There are four pins, and two jumpers, so which pins are jumper'ed for any
given truth table setting?
The pins form a square, so by themselves they can be jumper'ed in four ways,
and also no jumper at all.......
A is closest to the adjustment pot, D furthest from the pot. MS 1 is AC, MS
2 is BD, according to the diagram on component placement page.

The truth table says that 1 means not shorted to ground, What/where is
ground???

A B

C D

With AB, AC, CD, and BD being valid possibilities, plus no jumper at all,
five mechanical possibilities for four settings.

I am sorry to feel stupid, but the information given totally leads to
guessing.
