I had 2 different older CNC mills with Fanuc controls 6MB and 11M both blew
there spindle drives which were expensive to repair/replace. I never had
trouble with any other components. The early models like mine were dc brush
servos with +-10 analog drives ( I think this is standard until 16 on ?)
depending on wether you have Rs232 and what parts are in need of replacement fixing
the Fanuc control may be cost effective. If it doesn't communicate with a
computer and the spindle drive is bad I would retro fit it.
