One other thing, there is a mid-band resonance adjustment on the Gecko
drives. After making sure the
NEMA size-42 jumper is set right, you need to tune this adjustment for
minimum "whine" or
vibration at relatively slow speed, maybe 100 RPM. The problems you
describe sound like they
could very well be midband resonance, as direct-drive motors on a 5 TPI
screw would be turning
150 RPM at 30 IPM.
