Minimum work converting bridgeport clone mill

Hi I'm new here greetings to everybody.

One quick question please. I am converting my beidgeport clone knee
mill to CNC, I will use DC servo motors plus gecko drives and mach 3.
Is it possible to install some sort of linear slides to reduce the
friction force of table, if not what will be happening ?
