UK Hardware Suppliers

Hi All,
I have been looking to make a CNC machine for some time now,
but the major factor that keeps putting me off commecing such a project
is the apparent lack of suppliers in the UK. I have looked around and requseted
prices, but becuse i'm not looking to purchase 10,000 of one item I get a very abrupt
reply.

Could any of the UK mebers here be so kind as to point me in the direction of a supplier
so i can kick this project off.
