I am sure that there are industrial lasers out there for PCB drilling and
cutting. I read an article
about a year ago and seem to remember that one unit could `blast` 80 x .5
mm holes per second in fibre glass PCB material !

10 to 25 W of sealed CO2 laser will do that at a good clip. I saw a
system a guy
built that did that. He did rubber stamps, gaskets, PVC and acrylic
sheet for
aircraft instrument panels, etc.
