Thanks Darren,

It appears that I have a broken LED. Moving the spring around didn't
help, then I noticed that one of the 8 LEDs (I guess they are
LEDs)didn't look like the rest. I wonder how I could replace that? I
did try to post some pictures but I couldn't figure out how to do it.
There was no "add pictures" or "albums" option.
