It is at least possible. I do not understand the details of the Yaskawa
scheme, just
the basic concept. You'd have to get the details either from patent
info or from
scoping out the signals. Then, you'd have to "align" the Yaskawa
arrangement
to the other motor's pole vs. Hall signal arrangment. It could be done,
but it will
not be trivial, unless maybe Yaskawa has actually published how to do
this, and
I rather doubt it. I think a major part of this proprietary arrangement
is to keep
you from using other maker's motors. (It does eliminate 3 signals,
though, so that
could be argued.)
