Hi Nate, the key is to find controlling software for wire EDM use. it
will have all you need to run it on automatic. Once you know what the
software needs, the hardware part is simple.

Check out the different packages and make sure it will do what you want.

In the end, the stepper or servo drivers and motors and such will be
the most straightforward part, and you will not have to re-invent
anything.
