EMC-2 help

Gentlemen, I have struggled for a very long time to get Linux EMC-2 on
a computer. But, having achieved this feat I cannot find how to enter
a G code program into the software. I have searched for info from
Linux but no luck. I have used AHHA's Artisan with out any problems
such as these. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Richard Butterick.
