I'll have to think about this EMC / Linux line, never ever got involved in
it, though I think one of my friends developed some stuff with this for the
European space mob. Perhaps it's time to track him down. The GUI's look a
lot more basic, but I suppose if functional, and possibly more so than mach
this may be the way to go, it also seems a lot more adaptable in the long
run.

Tuning servo's should be too bad, done loads of them before.

Shouldn't be much trouble getting it running. The install
nightmares of several years ago are history, thank goodness.
The only thing you will need to spend time on is the servo
tuning. If you have tuned a servo system before, then it really
isn't that bad, either, and it is all integrated into EMC.
I provide Dell PCs with the software installed, but that
probably is not the best for an overseas customer.
