I have always thought they were the same. Two
outputs with a 90 degree phase angle differiential.
Four binary states 0, 1, 3 and 2 in one direction
and 0,2,3 and 1 in the other direction. Is that your understanding? I'm
not an expert I have just been playing with the things, correct me if I have
it wrong.
