I am hoping we will see more USB or ethanet connected devices as even with the two so far out there, ncPod and G-rex I feel there is still a market
for a medium featured device that will be able to handle lathe as well as mill.
For anyone wanting a cheap stand alone USB board with software take a look at http://www.usbcnc.com/
This is a 4 axis board with PWM, homing, probe and a lot more features
Takes HPGL and DXF import. Quite a nice little package for less than a similar board and software.
