Sorry Graham.

I hadn't really followed this which started while I was away on holiday.

You say in another post that you are trying to cause the roller to act as a
fine brush, a copier toner unit does form a very fine brush, if that's of
any use.

If not then theres not much left in a copier to help, other than that toner
is also very fine and may suffer similar problems.
