Bridgeport Series 1 - Never Cut Metal, Only Wax

We are liquidating some old CNC equipment. One machine may be of
interest to someone out there.
It is a bridgeport series 1 R2E3 brush servo motor mill with Textron
controls
The asking price is $7000. This is not my machine, unfortunately we
have to go thru a dealer (hence the high price) but
I can attest to the fact that the machine has barely cut metal. When
the machine arrived in 1985? (i think) We cut some
hand-out coasters out of aluminum for the first 3 weeks, after that
the machine was used for an engineering class once a
month for the past 20 years or so and it has only cut wax. Still has
wax chips on the table. Has a paper punch tape
reader, serial number inside the control box is #128. All manuals,
wiring diagrams, and remote Bridgeport EZ-Mill
programming terminals. Has auto oiler and spraymist coolant unit.
Great for retro-fit or use as-is. It still works.
The machine comes with a massive amount of BRAND NEW Erickson tool
holders and collets most of which are still in the
original boxes, NEVER OPENED or barely used. NMTB 30 tooling 19 tool
holders including 2 tool clamp blocks. 5-TG100 holders,
6-DA180 holders, 3-DA300 holders, 1-3/4 arbor shell mill, the rest
endmill holders. Comes with appx. 70 brand new never used erickson
collets still in the tins, a mixture of TG100 and DA-180 collets.
Includes older Kurt 6" vise taken from another
machine. Machine located in Kentucky.
