Actually, there are configs for EMC2 that run either 3-wire or 2-wire
"tripods". I think the two-wire version is included as a sample config
with EMC2, but I'm not sure about the 3-wire one. That was recently
done by a user for a specific application, and I'm not sure he ever sent
it to the developers for inclusion.
