For back and forth type movements like a CNC axis, you want them
VERY tight. I think I'm running something like 80 Lbs of strand
tension, ie. 160 Lbs radial force between the two shafts, on my
Bridgeport with 3/8" XL belts. I looked this up and that was
what Gates recommended.
