There will probably be a sleeve in the ball nut part that you will need to
keep in place as you thread the ball nut onto the screw portion. At least
that is how the few I have seen shipped separately were. The balls in the nut
part can fall out of most of them if there is nothing to keep them in place.
Most of the ball screws that I have worked with over the years were supplied
as an assembly.
