Angle DRO

Has there been anybody that has made a Digital read out for angle
measurment using a rotary encoder? I need a a Digital readout for a
machine design that will give me angle measurment of 0 to 90 degrees
with .00 of a degree accuracy. I don't what to use the US digital
readout because the unit is to large for my application. Anyone done a
PIC program that would do this ?
