True, if a relatively-new PC, right? I mean, some "old" PC's may have been
using 74LS374's to drive the LPT-1, and those were not "very good" at sinking
even 10 mA, and keeping the voltage below 0.8 VDC! One thing THIS ignernt
ol' fool has taught himself over the decades is, "If it seems easy,
breadboard it; measure it, worst-case; choose components for at least twice
that dissipation/voltage-drop; and pray to the diety of your choice! Repeat
twice. If "OK'" all three times, then, it MIGHT work "in the real world".
