Goldmine servos and Sherline

I used one of the Goldmine $4.95 servos to try out my gekodrive modules,
and they seem rather powerful. Very scientific test- I tried to grab the
shaft while it was turning. Anyone tried to do any useful work with
these? would they run a Sherline?
what is the number of steps per rev?
I would have to build a new coupling and mounting bracket, but I may
give it a try. Sure would be a cheap solution if it works.
