I think you make a good point. A lot of times someone will ask a simple
question and a lot of others will jump in trying to show how smart they are,
completely losing sight of the original question. Thing is, I don't see any
way of getting around that. It would as like happen on any new forum you
might set up. Whether there would be a market for a "CNC for the novice"
pamphlet or small book is another question. I don't know. Everyone does what
they do for a reason. Not too many people are in the CNC business, hobby or
otherwise, for purely altruistic reasons. If there was a market for such a
book somebody probably would already have written it. The problem is that
the further "down-market" you go, into the CNC hobbyist and novice arena,
the less people are willing to spend money. Not much fun trying to make a
living in that situation. Fortunately these days, with the internet
available, anyone intent on learning just about anything can do so at very
little cost. How ironic that formal education is so expensive and is turning
out so many dunderheads.
