How resistant are they to stretching?
I would think that some "bounce" would be a positive design feature for
lifting a heavy door on a suspension that can get stiff or bind or hit
something on the way down.
I would take one, hang it from the ceiling and put ten pounds on it, zero,
put another ten pounds and measure the elongation.
