Surplus DC Motors

I was looking at the allelectonics WEB site and see they have gotten
some scooter motors that might be useful for CNC. Last time I looked
at the Surplus Center page they weren't overly supplied with treadmill
motors.
I was looking for something to replace the 3/4 HP 3-phase AC motor on
the knee of my Tree mill with an eye to control via Mach3. Might also
replace the 100V DC motors on the X and Y axis as it's much easier to
find drivers for lower voltage motors.
Would this 24V 650W motor be a possibility?
