Hi Rob:
     Did you ever consider taking the table of the router or moving the bridge and ways over an open frame.  Then change the router to you plasma touch and have at it.  Or you could mount and arm with a roller support to the router head and run the plasma  torch on the end off the router table.  This is somewhat what I was thinking of doing to get wire cut foam part of my mill.
