Yip, it pretty much looks like what I had in mind. I have Balls monitors
just like that. I'm sure you can find a digram on the net somewhere. The
signals should be as I described, plus a connection for external pots for
brightness, and maybe contrast. Can't remember exactly.

That one sided connector was pretty common back then. Should be about ten
pins, with a key-way
It you come unstuck, I could find my diagram , but I'm sure you'll find one
on the net first.
