Interfacing VFD with a carriage stop switch on a lathe

I am using a GE- Fuji AF-300 mini controller on my lathe and it works very well with complete variable speed control. I am using it's keypad to control start, stop and adjust the speed.
I would like to install an adjustable switch to stop the motor when the carriage actuates the switch. This would be quite an asset when threading. However after much reading of the user manual, I still can't figure out how to wire it in on the control circuit terminals and then program the unit accordingly.
Anyone who knows how? I'd really appreciate a description how this could be done.
