Dremel tools make lousy spindles, the run-out is much too high. The Porter
Cable router might be OK, many times the stock collets are not very good and
run-out is an issue as well. Excessive run-out will quickly destroy a good
V-bit type engraving tool. I do carry some high precision collets for the
Bosh Colt and some
Porter Cable routers:

.aspx , they won't work in your PC though. I do all my engraving with these
bits:

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] CNC Machine for Engraving
Hello to everybody in this forum. Merry christmas and happy new year.
I have built a CNC machine and my intention is to engrave aluminum and
brass with it and create some kind of medals. I have tried several
diamond and carbide bits with no good results. What are the best bits
can i use in order to do this job on metal?
I have two options for the spindle, a Dremel 395 and/or Porter-Cable
7310. Both runs over 30,000 rpms.
I really appreciate any help.
Sincerely,
