Yes, and brilliant! So simple and "obvious" that I didn't even THINK of it!
You don't even need "wires" to wire 'em in series! The male/female
"snap--on" connections allow snapping + to - on adjacent batteries (just
don't "stack" one atop the other, with both terminals snapped together, or
they both "fight" and die together, simultaneously!). If clever, you can
"snap-together" any number for up to HUNDREDS of volts (even dangerous, if
you are a klutz!).

Last I recall, RS "cheap Leclanche 9VDC" were 79ยข each. So, 11 of those
would give you MORE than 67.5 VDC, for $8.69 plus tax!
