WOW, this question dates me! I can remember playing with simple one- and
two-tube radios, and that was ONE size of "B-battery" used in those. Others
had 45 and 90 volt batteries. The dang things cost several $ apiece, and
that was generally a preclusion to much fun with "early electronics", as a
dollar was WORTH something, back then! (You could get a sit-down dinner and
drink in a cafeteria for a buck!)

If even still manufactured, you might find those at a large and comprehensive
"electronic components distributor". Try Newark! They are surely on-line!
If they don't handle 'em by the boat-load, they can surely tell you who did,
last, and when the last one was manufactured!
