Also, There is a setup page for limit and home switches. You can set which direction the switch is and what its position is.
I just finished an EMCO PC55 Turn and the Z switch is at the spindle and the x is all the way retracted. So when I set the software up, I told it the Z home switch was 0.000 and the x was at 5" (diameter).
You can tell it anything you want though. You can also set your soft limits on the same page which will, if done right, will keep you from crashing.
