 Hi Jon,

The motors I have are rated 1.5hp continuous (2.5hp peak). They are new and were desitined for a treadmill. They appear to have a plastic rear housing and a shaft extension designed to take encoders although I will have to do a little machining to get mine to fit.

I have ordered a 24T and a 72T pulleys and a 25 mm wide belt for the X axis, I will order the rest when I have that axis under power, with the motor hooked up to a speed controller. I am not intending to use the machine at anything near the rated power of the motors.

I've got 9.5mm (3/8") wide belts on my Bridgeport manual retrofit, and
if I turn the acceleration up just a little, it will break a belt literally
within a minute! And, my motors are quite wimpy. If you have strong
motors, I might recommend the 30 mm belt, and definitely go bigger than
the 15 mm.
