Hi Rupert & Roland,
I apologise for not getting back to you sooner, I
don't usually draw in polylines so I had a bit of a learning curve. I had tried
drawing a polyline and revolving it before asking for help but couldn't get it
to work. Clearly I was doing something wrong if you can do it. Having spent
the last couple of days away from my computer it was nagging my quiet time until
a light went on! Adding together what you have both suggested I drew a polyline
D and revolved it around a line 2mm below the D, then I filled in the centre
with a 4x4mm cylinder and used union to make my object.
I can now complete my design without the prospect
of having to bang my head against the wall. Why I ever got into Acad is a
mystery and I would have moved onto another CAD package, but I have been ruined
because of the way Acad does things and what is left of my brain cells couldn't
cope. Thank you for you help.
Regards, Terry
