Seems the problem with teflon is that it has a tendency to pressure flow and
may move away from the point of friction and allow the epoxy to erode. I
knew I had seen somewhere that graphite was the lubricant in the Philly
Resin product. I finally found it on the box. The 2 filler materials that
are listed is Crystalline Silica and Carbon Powder.

Thinking about the moly that Matt has, I think the problem there is that
moly is a great high pressure lubricant, but does not have the slickness of
carbon in low pressure applications. May be good for nuts, but not as good
for ways???

If anyone is interested in reading about the application of this type of
stuff there are a few application notes on the Philly Resin's website
http://www.phillyresins.com/sa.htm The correct product is PRECISION HIGH
LUBRICITY POLYMER - BLACK 1500LFH
