RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Wanting to load up linux

There was a long discussion about a year ago about getting the real time
extensions to work on a 486. Arnie (Anyone know what has happened to him??)
did a bunch of research and suggested a number of modifications that would
possibly make it work. Seems the problem is a 486 handles the memory much
differently than a Pentium class machine and the RT extensions were written
assuming a Pentium. The summary is Linux will work fine on a 486, but the
real time extensions will not so EMC is not usable.
