I think you specify the amount of memory in KB on a 486, and in
MB on a pentium. The page size is different - 4KB on the Pentium,

not be enough CPU power to do steppers, and would be marginal
on a servo system. Xemc might do OK, but TkEMC is borderline
on a 100 MHz Pentium.
