  Hi all:
Several months ago I got interested in hexapods....and hit the web pretty hard for a week or so.
IMHO:
a. there is great potential here but development is going to be slow.
b. they may be stiff but the commercial units are spendy.
I think there are a couple of German commercial units and
one US.
c. for the hobbist....it should have really good potential for high speed machining where serious horsepower is not necessary and
loads on the spindle are less.
From the pics taken at NAMES I could not tell if the machines were doing Al, steel, wood or just air. In other words, how much work
can these rather flimsy looking machines really do?
