Hi, I'm a newbie to CNC, and the news group. First, let me say how great
the information that I have found to be, thank everyone so very much.
This summer while I was vacationing at Disney world with my family, I saw
this really cool machine that was milling a Mickey Mouse picture, in a
"plastic" circle. I happened to meet the gentleman who built the machine,
and he told me a little about the process, and well here I am.
I'm getting married next year, and I thought it would be very cool if I
could make small, two inch coins for the wedding. Our names and Date, and
two wedding rings machined into clear "plastic".
Something similar to what I saw at Disney, just simpler. The question is
does anyone have a suggestion on what material I might use to make these
coins. At Disney I think, that the gentleman said that it was "lumalite",
I can't really be sure, and I haven't found any information about what
would be a good choice and how to work with it?
Any information would be appreciated......
Thanks
