I thought about plexiglass, but the materials I could find in my hardware
store really didn't match my needs, I whould like to make the coins about
3/8 of an inch thick, and with some weight.
I haven't looked into either delrin or nylon, I'm going to have to find an
industrial plastic supply house.
As for the cutting, I aquired froma Dentisit, that I know, cutting bits
that they use, .4 through .8 mm in size. I was also able to get through a
used dential supply house, a drill set, high speed motor and wand, I
replaced the wand with one from dremmel.
I found on the Internet a proram that converts true type fonts to cad files,
and another that converts bmp to raster, or cad files.
With this I have been pretty suscessful in making the "art", but If anyone
has a better solution, please let me know.
thanks

Hi Michael,
Sounds like a great project. How about nylon, delrin, or plexiglass? I
was thinking about milling a holder for the new quarters out of
plexiglass, not quite the same, but would be an interesting project to
make for gifts.
Have you figured out how to cut it yet? Fred's got some programs that
might help!
